Toys R Us Confirms Black Force Friday!

Faking Star Wars can exclusively confirm that there will be a second Force Friday event happening on Black Friday just before the release of The Force Awakens in December. See all the details after the jump.

We are hearing rumors that on November 27th, 2015 aka Black Friday, Disney will be launching a second Force Friday, and the first Black Force Friday in history. One of Jacen’s cousins works at a Toy R Us in Paris, Kentucky and has informed us of some last minute changes to their Black Friday ad. It seems that the first Force Friday earlier this year set world records with toy sales that and Hasbro is hell bent on breaking that record again during Black Force Friday. They will be running a limited time offer which closely resembles one Kenner ran “A Long Time Ago.”

Midnight November 27th, 2015 Hasbro will be distributing, on a first come first serve basis, a remake of the classic Kenner Early Bird set but will promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens action figures. The deal is the same as it was in 1977, those lucky few who arrive in line early enough will be able to get their hands on the empty box to later mail away to receive your new The Force Awakens action figures. The first four figures will be Battle-Damaged Kylo Ren, Jedi-Robes Luke Skywalker, Helmet-Removed Captain Phasma, and Formal-Attire Rey.

Hasbro and Disney are both hoping that round 2 of Force Friday pleases the many fans who have been collecting Star Wars toys since the first Early Bird mail away campaign in 1977.

Due to the success of the previous live stream, Jacen’s cousin also confirmed that a new “Live-Unboxing” event will take place, hosted by various The Force Awakens “cast members.” The rumors are pointing towards it being Pip Andersen, Chrystal Clarke, and Warwick Davis!

Also good to mention, a plethora of all-new Star Wars merchandise will also be released this day as well promoting not only The Force Awakens but also Rogue One and Rebels.
