Disney Inks Deal with Vintage Books for “Fifty Shades of Rey”
In a surprise announcement this weekend, Disney has added a 21st book to be published before The Force Awakens hits theaters in December, and this one’s definitely NSFY (Not Safe For Younglings.) More after the jump.
“Fifty Shades of Rey”, a space opera version of E. L. James’ international bestseller, is set to be released this Fall.
Aimed squarely at the lucrative OA (Old Adult) set, the book loosely follows the plot of the original erotica with a few sci-fi surprises of its own. When probed about what readers can expect, the British author said, “A sexual awakening that challenges the very nature of the Force.”
Rumor has it Master Yoda makes an appearance towards the climax of “Fifty Shades of Rey.” The fan-favorite sage of the Star Wars saga will likely impart some wisdom on Rey in her quest. Perhaps something akin to “Screw or screw not, there is no try.”
