George Lucas to Stephen King: “How the Frick Do You Write So Good?”

At one point Lucas and King had the following exchange:
George asked him “How the frick do you write so good? I have a good six months and crank out 3 super dense scenes, meanwhile you wrote 3 great books in that time!” Stephen answered that he writes almost every day and demands 6 pages a day from him self. [sic] George was amazed by that. He replied “You always get six pages? You never get constipated or come down with prequelitis? You never get up and go get the mail, and think ‘Maybe I don’t have any talent and should have been a plumber?'”
The crowd in attendance supplied several hoots and hollers at the lively exchange. It’s too bad we couldn’t be there to witness this meeting of two of the most influential fantasists of all time.
Special thanks to Stormtrooper Mo for sending us this report.
