Palpatine’s Giant Crane Arm Picks Up The Pieces

EXEGOL, UNKNOWN REGIONS — It’s been little over a month since the defeat of the Final Order, and while much of the Resistance may have moved on, the locals are still coming to grips with the dramatic change to their lives.

Sith Eternal support staff, who number in the thousands, are now unemployed. Exegol’s ship building industry, along with its professional cultists and dark robe designers have all lost their main lines of business. But nowhere is the sea change more apparent than at ground zero.

Within the remains of Darth Sidious Arena lies tons and tons of rubble. The stadium, which was at capacity for the epic battle between Emperor Palpatine and Rey, began to crumble when the wild energy unleashed by Rey destroyed everything in its path.

But the lone non-Resistance survivor is picking up the pieces. Palpatine’s giant crane arm has turned over a new leaf, using its capabilities to carry a message of hope, rather than the decrepit, debilitated body of Palpatine.

“The silly crane arm grew self-aware somehow. And it’s on a mission to clear out the rubble and help rebuild Exegol into a prosperous member of the New Republic. Yeah… so I definitely have to get off this rock somehow,” said former Sith manservant Kren Blista-Vanee.

According to the FSW Robotics Team, the crane arm managed to repair itself without any instructions — even after a near-cataclysmic malfunction. “It is essentially behaving like a newborn, adapting to its new Dark Side-free environment,” said Head of Robotics, Carl Jenkins.

In addition to constructing its own bio-mechanics to clear rocks, the giant crane arm also taught  itself to write in Galactic Basic using a magic marker. You can see its handiwork on display throughout the construction site in several apology letters that express remorse for the role it played in the battle between the Sith and the Resistance.

“It really dug itself into a ditch by carrying Palpatine for so long, but if anyone can pick up the pieces and find redemption… it’s this big ol’ lug,” said Resistance hero Rose Tico.
