Galaxy’s Edge Makes COVID-19 Official Star Wars Canon
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge continues to blur the line between fantasy and reality, and its latest addition is causing quite a stir. According to our theme park spies, Disney has set up official COVID-19 wellness centers manned by trained medical staff cosplaying as Star Wars characters. The nurses and doctors are accompanied by several medical droids to make the experience feel entirely in-universe. We’re told there’s even a bacta tank for socially distanced patients to hang out in after having received a coronavirus vaccination.
Rumor has it Rey and several members of the Resistance have been choreographing a new scene which will take place within the three medical bays on site. Apparently, Rey will deliver an impassioned speech about the importance of Resisting The Coronavirus. Additional rumors claim Disney chief Bob Iger has okayed the new pop-up experience but has warned senior park officials about making it so immersive that fans go out of their way to catch COVID-19.
